One Canada Conference The World Economic Forum launched The Great Reset
initiative in 2020. The Great Resignation swept through North America in 2021. It is time for The Great Rethink of 2022. In the last two years, we have asked ourselves: => What will happen to our businesses? => How can we not only survive but also thrive? => What impact can we make in the world to help, protect, and inspire those around us? The world as we knew it will never be the same but it is time to make it better. To reinvent it, as we so often do as entrepreneurs. The Great Rethink is the theme of the 3-day One Canada 2022 Conference that will bring together leading speakers who will talk about innovation, re-invention, and the future of work and life.
Challenge
Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) is about support, togetherness, learning, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, and crazy and memorable experiences. In 2022 EO created a conference The Great Rethink hosted in Quebec City, which required a futuristic logo and visual identity to communicate the essence of an event focused on the future: the future of work, the future of health, and the future of post-pandemic life and reflecting a high level of intelligent discussions.
Idea
Two bold arrows facing each other and crossing at one point became a simple and modern sign for The Great Rethink Conference. This sign became the centrepiece of the logo and effectively conveyed the idea of looking back to rethink the global pandemic and recession to develop a new global recovery plan. An inspiring and stylish colour scheme of royal blues, which we teamed with bright fuchsia, made a bold statement in a modern visual style. We took the iconic image of Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, the 5-star hotel in Quebec City where the conference took place. The logo with the key image of the hotel became the key element of the visual identity and was used in all marketing materials and social media.
Results
For The Great Rethink Conference, we created a memorable visual identity design that reflects the essence of the event and inspires bold ideas of entrepreneurs who gathered in Quebec City to discuss the development of a new strategy. The Visual Identity Guide has become the standard for how to use a logo with a visual style to get the most out of the marketing communications.
